Hey, me too! I got 85% on Social Liberal and 13% on Economic Liberal.
ReplyDeleteActually I consider myself a moderate Democrat.
ReplyDeleteNot that OkCupid is the definitive word on politics, but "moderate" compared to what? If one thinks about it, a lot of "moderate" views globally-speaking -- socialized health care, free higher education, intra-country government-funded mass transportation, strong labor unions, and until recently, strong gov't market intervention -- are considered radical left here.
ReplyDeleteAnd objectively, most things where the government is to intervene on behalf of preserving and balancing the interests of the poorer and the interests of "the market" could justifiably called socialism; social security, public school, Medicare, Medicaid, HeadStart -- all pretty socialist, we just pretend they aren't in the US =]
